Foundations of Daoist Practice Retreat

Join us for our inaugural on-site late spring/early summer Foundations of Daoist Practice 修道基本 Retreat. This retreat assists individuals in developing and strengthening an authentic root in tradition-based Daoist practice-realization, including fundamental Daoist approaches, practices, principles, and views. The retreat features morning and evening communal Quiet Sitting 靜坐 meditation, standing meditation and basic Yǎngshēng 養生 (Nourishing Life) practice, Lùndào 論道 talks, Scripture Study 經學, as well as tea conversations, communal meals, and nature walks. Time permitting, spiritual direction also will be provided.

No prior experience necessary. All are welcome.

Cost: $450/person, including retreat materials, vegetarian meals, and double-occupancy room. Registration deposit of $200 due on or before Friday, April 26. Full payment due on or before Friday, May 3.*

*A limited number of work-study scholarships are available for community members. Some single-occupancy rooms are available for an additional fee, with priority given to individuals with special needs. With prior approval and for an additional fee, individuals also may be on personal retreat for two days prior and two days after the community retreat
